
Roxell Richards is no stranger to hard work and determination. Roxell graduated from Texas Southern University in pursuit of a career in law where she graduated cum laude and received her bachelor of science in business management in the spring of 2001. That fall, Richards followed her passion and began attending Thurgood Marshall School of Law where she was a member of American Trial Lawyers Association and the Board of Advocates. It was during this period that Roxell began to truly excel in her studies achieving such honors as the American Scholastic Achievement Award, B.E.S.L.A. Scholarship Award and America’s Who’s Who of Law Students Award all while managing to make the distinguished Dean’s List every semester she attended and graduating Suma Cum Laude in the spring of 2004. In September 2005, Richards received her license with the State Bar of Texas and in August 2006 passed and received her license with the State Bar of California.
Roxell Richards began her own practice in 2005 and serves as managing partner for Roxell Richards & Associates, where she focuses heavily on cases involving complex contractual litigation and well as heading the entertainment section of the law practice in connection with her associate attorneys. Currently, Richards acts as the lead counsel to several music companies. Once of which is DEEP Distribution Music Group, a full service music company headquartered in Kingwood, Texas.
Richards continues to instill her passion and vision for legal profession through Roxell Richards & Associates by providing proficient and professional service to her clients and community. Ms. Richards has also started the legal apprenticeship program, a non-profit program dedicated to giving minorities exposure to practicing law while giving them the education and resources needed to become skilled and successful attorneys.
Ms. Richards has become know for her ability to communicate legal concepts into basic terms. She also teaches and tutors her peers and colleagues. This past fall Ms. Richards spent time with the Rice paralegal students giving tutorials for the “Contracts 101" course. As a well noted lecturer, Ms Richards also takes part speaking at various panels around the country and continues to travel around the globe sharing her vision, passion and testimony to not only corporate America, but to the youth and adults alike. She believes in globalization and unity and facilitates various charitable causes. One of the many she has founded is iFAME, the largest music, arts, and fashion association in the world. She will be hosting the F.A.M.E. music festival taking place next fall.
