Edna Rodriguez
Houston Personal Injury Lawyer
I am Edna Rodriguez, the Compliance attorney at Roxell Richards Law Firm. My focus is to ensure the law firm adheres to law-mandated deadlines and to ensure litigation department’s cases are moving along internally in a timely manner.
I have been with the firm a couple of years ago when I joined as a receptionist in 2016. My love for learning and proving myself promptly earned me the title of paralegal and after witnessing my first trial, I decided to pursue a law career.
I enjoy working at the Roxell Richards Law Firm because the atmosphere at the office and everyone around me is nurturing and kind. Everyone has a “team” mentality, and we help each other whenever we see a co-worker in need.
As a first-generation immigrant, I am very passionate about making the law more accessible and understandable to my community and serving others in any way I can. When I am not serving a client or studying for school, I enjoy spending time with my family – I will never say no to eating carne asada and playing lotería with them. I also love traveling and learning about different cultures – historically and gastronomically.
LIFE AND CAREER
I earned my Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from South Texas College of Law – Houston, where I developed a love for transactional law and tax. I was a member of several student organizations such as the Immigration Law Society, Women in Law Society, Tax Law, and served as treasurer of the Hispanic Law Students Association for two years. During my time at South Texas, I also served as a research assistant to Professor Bruce McGovern. I am also a member of the Mexican American Bar Association of Houston (MABAH), the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston (HisBAH).
Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Laws in Taxation at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. My goal as a tax attorney is to serve the communities I grew up in and provide high quality tax services and educational programs for individuals and small business owners.
