Litigation Filing Paralegal
Frank Lloyd Tiongson
My Why
I came to Roxell Richards because I wanted to understand how U.S. civil procedure actually works from the inside: how a case is built from initial disclosures through expert designation, how deadlines are tracked and calendared across a docket, how a litigation team coordinates with retained experts and opposing counsel under the pressure of trial prep.
The firm gave me that. My work involves filing deadlines under Texas procedure, Bates-labeling production records, coordinating treating and retained expert designations. That daily immersion in the mechanics of U.S. civil litigation is precisely what I came for.
The nature of the work itself also drew me to the firm. Personal injury plaintiffs are not corporations protecting an interest. They are people who were hurt, often badly, and who need the litigation process to function correctly on their behalf. Getting a deadline wrong, or a filing deficient, carries real cost for a real person. That understanding sits behind everything I do as a paralegal at this firm.
